Trick Or Treat

Ok so I know I posted several Halloween cards back in August which you can find HERE but I couldn't resist posting another one.  Also get ready for a Halloween giveaway coming up on October 1st.

Witchy Bella saw a little more ink when I used that great MOJO sketch with her, the same one I used with Eloise when her witchy side emerged however I added the moon to this one.

So this mix of dp is all from the Midnight Spell DCWV mat stack, even the little trick or treat sentiment is cut from there so everything worked together wonderfully.  Miss WitchABella here was colored with some SU markers and the moon has a little dry embossing with the swiss dots folder run through the cuttlebug.

So now that its closer have you started on your halloween cards?????

A Cupcake Kind Of Day

Here is an all occasion cupcake card for you because really don't cupcakes make everything better, well and a little chocolate.

For this card I used the Verve set Cupcake Affair and paired it with some great paper from DCWV Linen stack.  I know I rave about DCWV paper all the time, they should really pay me for it HAHAHA but it is great paper, especially the premium stacks that have glitter or foil as part of the pattern.

So I stamped this cupcake with black stazon and colored the bottom and flowers with SU markers...river rock and marina mist.  I stamped the solid part of the cupcake with some SU soft sky, which matches perfectly with this DCWV stack.  The sentiment is also from the same Verve set and I punched it out with an EK Success slim line punch that almost is identical to the new one from SU.  The flower is also from Verve from the Because of You set and was stamped in Marina Mist.

So hope your day is filled with sunshine and cupcakes and thanks for stopping by

Swan Song

Here's another card made with a beautiful Verve set called Swan Song, however I don't feel I did the set justice.  I stared a long, long time at this card and just can't figure out what its missing but it is definitely missing something.

The sentiment is layered with 2 labels, the modern label punch from SU and larger punch is from EK success but I don't know the name of it.  I added some bling to the birds with stickles then finishing it off with some gems for the heads but the gems are creeping me out just a bit.

Well I'll have to play with this set some more and see if I can come up with a better creation.  Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Alex

Ask and you shall receive.... My niece's birthday was on Sept. 16th, she turned 11.  For her birthday she wanted money from everyone so she can save up to get an Ipod.  I immediately thought of Ipodabella from Stamping Bella but sadly do not own her so I put out my request....one on facebook and one on SCS and Voila in my hands were some Ipodabella images from 2 wonderful people. Thanks so much Rachel and Jessica.  I used a couple images before I figured out what I was going to do. Here is the end product....

Details on this card... I started with the white base and layered it with papers from the Hippie Chic stack from DCWV.  I colored Ipodabella with SU markers, marina mist and cajun craze....I'm so loving these new core colors!  The sentiment is from Verve's Birthday Surprise set.  I punched it out with the SU label punch and layered it with 2 more punches of the same punch in navy.  I then cut a small strip of cajun craze and layered it behind.

Thanks for stopping by today,  I love reading all your comments, they are one of the highlights of my day.

My Best Friend is a Flake

Too early for winter/Christmas cards?

I have no idea what stamp this snowman is because my sweet friend Sarah sent me some of these images last winter and I'm finally getting a chance to play with them.  Sarah if you post a comment can you post who this stamp is by...thanks.

This was a simple card to do.  White base, navy layer then white layer embossed with cb snowflakes.  The snowman had very little coloring, some red of course, outlined him with gray and added some stickles to him and a little blush with chalk for the cheeks.  The sentiment is from an old SU set flaky friends and the snowflakes are a MS punch.  Thanks for looking and have a super cool day.

MOJO 155 Dream

Here's a card I did for last week's Mojo sketch.  Maybe I'll get this weeks mojo sketch done on time LOL.

Anyway I got the idea for the color scheme from THIS CARD on SCS.  Love the old olive and black together.  I used 2 SU sets Dream Garden and Watercolor Trio.  The olive panel was embossed with a sizzix folder called ?  I'm sorry I thought I saved the packaging.  I'll have to hunt it down and edit this post.

Thanks for stopping by and looking.

side note... I don't like the way this photographed it looks so blah! and I noticed there is something wrong with the middle panel...I think its time for new glasses. LOL Have a great day!!!

Look WHoo's Learning

Ok so I finally got a chance to play with the new two step owl punch and I love it.  Though I will admit gluing those little eyes on takes some patience and steady fingers.  For this card I used the SCS sketch SC295

So Mr. Owl here is teaching you all about your ABC's on his blackboard.  The owl punch doesn't come with a wing so I used the wing from SU's two step bird punch.  I used DCWV paper from the grade school mat stack...super stack to make teacher cards with.  The blackboard is just a small piece of black cs. I made the chalk tray with some crumb cs and just snipped the ends at an angle.  The letters were cut with the cricut using A Child's Year cart.

Only 2 more days for your chance to win some BLOG CANDY.  Leave a comment on the BLOG CANDY post and one other comment on any card on this blog for your chance to win.  Winner will be announced on Sept 13th

ABC's and 123's

Sorry the pic on this one isn't the greatest. The kids look blurry to me for some reason.  So here's another card using the adorable set Greeting Card Kids.  I love the way this card came together. The letters were a last minute add on because I didn't like how much empty space was left at the top of the card and I think they were just what the card needed.

So the details are... letters were cut from the cricut A Child's Year cart at 1 1/4.  The kids were stamped on watercolor paper and colored with SU markers.  The apple was also cut from ACY cart on the cricut at 1 in.  I used crumb, real red and bash blue for the cardstock colors and some left over gingham paper from dcwv.

Hope you enjoyed today's post remember you have a couple more days for a chance to win my blog candy so don't forget to leave some comments.  You'll have a chance to win this card and some images of these cute kids.  Leave a comment on my BLOG CANDY post and ONE other comment on any card on this blog for your chance to win.

Just A Little Note

So since my son started school on the first I thought I'd get a little head start on some teacher gifts for this year.  I made this note card set in a matter of minutes, clean and simple.

The paper is some left over dcwv from an old old mat stack and the apple stamp is from SU tart and tangy.  The just a note sentiment is by ...?  I bought it so long ago I can't remember.  I hope his teacher will like these.

Thanks for stopping by and looking today and don't forget about the blog candy I'm offering.  You have till the 12th for your chance to win and one of these note cards is included in the giveaway.  All you need to do is make a comment on the BLOG CANDY post and one other Card post on my blog
