I am a HUGE Twilight fan and I made this card in honor of the Twilight movies and books. I just picked up Mini Monsters cricut cart and as soon as I saw the Vamp image in it I thought of Edward. So here is my whimsical Edward tribute.
GO TEAM EDWARD!!!!
I cut Edward at 3 1/2 inches from Mini Monsters. The apple icon came from A Child's Year cart and was cut at 1 inch. I colored the stem with a marker and sponged some ink on the apple. The sentiment was cut from Home Decor and I forget what size I cut it at. I was heavy with the dry embossing trying to use victorian style folders so the black layer is a cb folder called Victoria and the white layer is a folder from SU sizzix called finial press.
Hope you liked this fun card and I can't wait to go see Twilight Eclipse.

When I think of June and summer I think of June weddings. This card turned out so pretty now I only wish I had somewhere to use it. That's ok I'll stick it with my stash and maybe an opportunity will present itself to give it to someone some day.
This is the 3rd version of this card. Each time I created it it just felt like it was missing something. Creation 1 was just white and black layers then the white dress on top. Creation 2 was this basically without the embossing and then came this one.
The black layer was stamped with SU boho blooms in versarmark and heat embossed with clear powder. I cut the dress from the Sweethearts cart at 4 in and cut the layers the same. I embossed the dress layer with the cb textiles folder and added some diamond stickles to her veil and bodice. Just like the title I think its just simple and elegant. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. Hope you have a great day and having a wonderful summer

I asked my hubby to come up with a clever title for today's blog post looking at this card and WV Plumbing was the first thing he said. Now as long as I have lived in WV...which is all my life...I have never in my life seen an outhouse LOL but never say never right...
My blogging buddy Karen and creator of the Stamps R Us blog group sent me this image and I think it is so cute. Now what I'll use this card for I have no clue but love it just the same. The dp is from DCWV green stack and the base color is close to cocoa Su and small piece of bermuda bay..which surprisingly looks really good with cocoa, which I embossed it with the argyle cb folder. The cute image...I don't know who its by, but I colored it with su markers.
Thanks Karen for the image.

I made today's card for a SCS sketch challenge and never got around to posting it...you know a day late and a dollar short LOL Any who.... my color inspiration came from this lovely card my SIL sent me for Mother's Day. I never would have thought to pair Mambo with choc chip. Ok another in color that's growing on me and the catty is almost up. Good thing they're bringing mambo back...I think I need a pack.
So the card base is choc chip, the mambo layer is embossed with the victoria cb folder though you really don't see much of it on here. I stamped the image from Elements of Style, SU in choc chip and colored with the mambo marker and a tombow marker in pink. The leaves were colored with SU celery marker. I spritzed the image with smooch spray but I really need to practice at that because it basically only hit one side of the card instead of all over. I stamped the bird image in choc chip also and popped it up on dimensionals. I think you'll be seeing this color combo again...love it!!!

I'm really glad I picked up this single stamp from the SU summer mini. Makes quick masculine cards.
Here's the deets to this card...base is su black, layered with su real red. The dp is dcwv from the fall stack I believe and it put me in mind of highway lines so I thought it would look good with this motorcycle. I stamped the bike in stazon, colored some of it with a tombow marker then went over those areas with paper glaze but you can't see the dimension in the photo. The sentiment is from Verve and the gray paper is scrap I had laying around so not sure where it came from.
Thanks for stopping today.

This month's challenge at the Stamps R Us blog is a sketch. I went with a CAS style for this one. This sketch you're supposed to put some kind of corner embellishment...my corner details are my sentiment and butterfly.
Here's what I used. The base is black, layered with some misc pink and then white. The stamp set is Treasure It from TAC. The words behind the flower were stamped in antique linen and the flower in SU Pretty in Pink, then stamped over with stazon.
Hope you take the time to play you can find the challenge HERE . Remember you have all month to play so make sure to stop by and show us your fabulous creations. Thanks for stopping by

I have had the idea for this card in my head for months and finally got around to creating it and I'm so happy with the end product.
In case you're wondering what's that blue she used well its bermuda bay..a color I swore I hated and would Never use and here I am, the catty is almost done, and I'm using this color more and more and even had to order a pack of it before it retired. Ugh!!! I guess never say never.
So here's how it was done...base is choc chip...which I loved paired with bermuda...dp is dcwv green stack I chose this specifically to give the illusion the birdhouse really was up in the trees and off in the distance you can see some little birds and other branches. The birdhouse is dcwv paper dp trimmed in bermuda cut out at 4 in using the stretch your imagination cart. The bird and branch were cut from the straight from your nest cart. The sentiment was a 99 cent stamp I found at my LSS. I believe its by imaginisce. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by.

Well even though its not "officially" summer yet its summer time to me. We've had gorgeous weather over the past week, temps in the 80's. Memorial Day is over and all the yummy picnic food is gone...I've got color to my skin from playing outside with my son who is officially on summer break and this card just says summer to me.
I think its the bright colors of the papers I used which is DCWV. I love this little hedgie. I only own a couple of these stamps and since its been a year since I made this card I think I will break out this set and create something new with it.
Just a short and sweet note today, hope your summer is off to a great start and you're enjoying some sunshine where ever you may be.
