End Of Summer

So school has started and so signifies the end of summer.  One last summer hooray card.  I cased this card from some one's Pinterest board and it was so long ago I'm not sure who.  Super simple card ...

White card base obviously blue scrap for the sky, used a little vellum for the waves and some Kraft for the sand which I sponged some crumb cake ink along the ripped edge.  Flip flop stamped on dp and cut out.  I believe the flip flops are a dollar stamp from long ago.  Thanks for stopping by.

One Image ... Two Ways

I've done this once before where I made a CAS style card then one with layers.  The previous card was a valentine ... My Heart Belongs To You but I separated it into 2 posts. This time I thought I'd put them into one.  A stamping friend used this stamp on a card and I just fell in love with the image.  Here is my CAS version

The stamp is from Inkadinkado.  I colored it with SU markers.  The sentiment stamp is Hero Arts.  Basic white card layered with black and another white panel, then a bit of polka dot ribbon and you're done..  Super simple but it was very hard for me to let the card go at that.  I wanted to add more embellishments or a something but stopped myself.  On to version 2...

OK here's my layers.  For this one I wanted to keep the same color scheme on the image.  I liked the black polka dot ribbon from the CAS version so I used black polka dot paper instead by Recollections.  The top paper is SU everyday enchantment I think its called.  I layered them with SU real red.  I cut a small strip of baja breeze SU and cut the end adding a brad.  The thinking of you sentiment is from Verve.  So what kind of card maker are you ... CAS or lots of layers?  Or maybe somewhere in between.  Thanks for stopping by.
