Thanks a Latte

A quick and simple thank you card to end this month.  I like to keep a stash of thank yous on hand, now if I could get in the habit of doing that with birthday cards too I'd be good to go.

Stamps are by Verve from the better with you set and the library card is from PTI.  The paper is DCWV Rustic stack. I love this color combo.  Craft or crumb cake is one of my new favorite colors and I seem to want to use it a lot lately.  I started out by stamping the coffee rings on the crumb in espresso ink SU.  The DP matched SU's razzelberry color perfectly and used it for the mat and to cut the little button from SU's embosslit folder.  The cup was colored with SU markers and popped up with a dimensional.  Now somebody please tell me the secret to keeping ribbon on your cards.  I have this one on with glue dots and tape and it still seems to pop off after sitting a couple days.  What's your trick?????

U Rock My World

This is one of my favorite cards.  I have a hard time making masculine style cards so when this one came together I was so pleased.  No frills here but just enough added detail that I didn't find it boring.

I tried to keep the layout simple.  The base is embossed with Tim Holtz brick embossing folder.  The DP is a scrap from DCWV glitter stack I believe.  The U and heart are both from Verve.  The U is from the I heart U die set and the heart is the jotted heart die which I also used the Love Notes stamp set from Verve before cutting the heart out.  The little swirl along the red panel is from the Fiskars set Girl's Night.  Oh but we're not done, take a look at the inside

The sentiment is also by Verve called uplifting phrases.  The guitar is an Inkadinkado stamp Rock Star.  The little hearts come from the Verve Love Notes set.  Please excuse the little smear across the hearts, my son decided to pick it up with his sticky fingers to say "this is cool Mommy"  That's OK when my husband gets it he will know Jr. had a hand in the making too.

I hope you like this card as much as I do.  Thanks for stopping by and see you next week

Birdies, Cupids and Dogs Oh My!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Just ignore that I'm a couple days early.  I have 2 cards to share with you today.  One cricut and one stamping.

Cupids Arrow

This card was done using dp from Michaels Recollections Elegance pack.  The little banner in the corner is from SU pennant punch and pennant parade stamp set.  The frame the cupid is on comes from Cricuts Lacey Labels cart cut at 3 inches and then shadowed.  The cupid is from the Cricut Sweethearts cart cut at 2 1/2 and shadowed.  I wasn't sure about adding the pennant to this but its grown on me.

Happy Valentine's Day

This Valentine was quick and simple to do.  I love this little image I picked up at Michaels in the dollar bin.  Valentine stamps are really lacking in my collection so I love when I find a cute image like this one and its cheap to boot.  The kraft cardstock was embossed with the larger cuttlebug dots folder.  The heart border is Martha Stewart punch and the corner punch is from SU.  I thought the little heart brad added a nice touch to finish this simple card off.
Thanks for stopping and may your Valentine's Day be filled with lots of love.

Monkey Hearts

I know strange title but I already had a My Heart Belongs to You post so I didn't want to confuse anyone.  Are you ready for Valentine's Day?

I got this layout from a card a friend sent me.  You can barely see it because I didn't angle the card enough in the photo but the sentiment is along the back edge.  The card measures 3 3/4 x 5.  I then cut 1 inch off the front panel so you can see the sentiment.  The heart paper is from DCWV mod retro stack.  I used some embroidery floss behind the image.  The monkey and sentiment are from Stampendous.  Thanks for stopping by.
