I'm going to end January on a love note and share this card I made for Valentine's day. It would also be great for an anniversary.

All the papers are from DCWV La Creme stack. The image is cut from the Sweethearts cricut cart at 3 1/2 inches. The flowers are from SU's set Fabulous Florets that I stamped on some polka dot paper and cut out. The flourish/leaves behind the flowers are from the same set that I stamped with stazon black and cut out. Here's a peek at the inside.

I used the scraps to decorate the inside and used the sentiment from Verve's set Love Notes, punched it out with SU's designer label punch. Thanks for looking.

The One and Only

How about a masculine card for today. Who doesn't love a cowboy, there's just something about their rough, rugged nature. Oh wait I'm supposed to be talking about a card here. Now the one thing I'm not sure about on this card is the bow. It was a last minute thought and is it too much of a feminine touch for a masculine card?

The papers are My Minds Eye and I forget now where I got this sketch from but I really like it for a masculine card with the sharp edges. The stamp and sentiment are from SU's Bronc Buster set. I punched out just a small piece of the sentiment to use with the window word punch and layered it with the modern label punch also from SU. So what's your thoughts on the bow?

Haven't I Seen You Somewhere Before

This card was made to use up scraps from the cards I made with the sewing set that you can see HERE
Its a top fold card with 1 1/2 inches cut off the front. The embossing on the side is a cuttlebug edge folder. The flowers are a dollar stamp from Joann's and I embossed the black layer with Tim Holtz Damask folder.

I colored the image with SU markers. Just something quick and easy, just like this post. Thanks for stopping and I always enjoy reading your comments. Have a wonderful day.

Aviary Triple Play

So for my second post of the new year I'm going to share 3 cards with you all done with SU's Aviary set. I have to say this set grew on me to the point I had to order it.
Hello Friend ... For this card I used DCWV papers from the All Dressed Up stack and SU's scallop trim border punch, which I kind of went a little crazy with using it on 2 edges.

A little pink birdie told me ... This card also used DCWV papers from the same stack and again with the scallop trim border punch. I think the cage on this one is too small. I should have used the larger one.

So Tweet ... For this card I used SU's tulip border folder and Verve's Classy Label die. The glitzy paper is DCWV Linen Closet stack. The layout is a Verve layout. The sentiment is a clear dollar stamp and I added the little bit of lace trim and some leftover flowers I had. This is my favorite of the 3

Happy New Year! Hope your new year is off to a great start. I don't make resolutions because I really never keep them longer than a couple months. I've tried numerous times and decided to give myself a break and just be. So anyway on to what inspired this card today. My husband and I have had our share of plumbing nightmares the past year. Have you seen the movie the Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Shelly Long where she fills the bathtub with water and it falls through the ceiling. Well our tub didn't come through our ceiling but all the bath water did and right into the kitchen when the pipe broke. UGH! So this card I made for myself. Its my therapy card LOL. Because 2012 has to be better than the end of 2011.

The tub was cut from Kate's ABC's cut at 4 inches I think. The papers are from My Minds Eye. The sentiment is from Verve, punched out with SU's designer label punch. So if you had a trying 2011 just RELAX like I'm going to because 2012 has to have some sunshine for you.

Have Your Elf a Merry Little Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I know you're enjoying time with your families for those that celebrate Christmas but just in case you make it into blog land I thought I'd share one last Christmas card with you today ... my wish to all of you.

Just a quick run down of supplies ... paper Cloud 9, punch SU's scallop trim border punch. Elf and sentiment from Stampendous, tree from SU's Snow Much Fun. Puff looking stuff on the elf is Liquid Pearl and it was colored with SU markers. Have a wonderful holiday.

Oh Christmas Tree

I had the idea for this card using the trees from the cricut cart Winter Frolic but executing it was a different story. I went through several different layouts before figuring out what I really wanted and the missing piece was the doily.

I bought a pack of those paper doilies you find in the baking section because I thought it would add some nice texture to a card. The trees were cut at 3 1/2 inches and the little star I punched with my EK Success punch. The hill the trees are on I hand cut. Then hand cut the white shadow to mimic snow. Since the trees are bent I wanted something to simulate wind so I added the Flourish from Home Decor cart cut at 1 1/4. The paper is from Cloud 9 stack and the dry embossing is a cuttlebug folder. Only days till Christmas. Are you ready?

Faux Pocket Card

I had set out to make this into an actual pocket card but the more I thought about it the more I thought my family wouldn't pull the insert out they would probably try to open it like a regular card tearing it all apart so that's when I decided to do all the cuts like a pocket card but leave the bottom flap so it can be opened like a regular card.

Wow did that make sense? I folded the card base like I would any other time. Opened it back up and the cut 1 1/2 inches down the fold. I then folded the front edge down and used my round corner punch on the edges. I covered the front with DCWV Christmas DP and cut a poinsettia from Joys of the Season cart at 2 1/2 inches, added a brad and spritzed it with some shimmer spray.

I then cut my white panel small enough to look like an insert and matted it with SU always artichoke. I made sure to stamp the bird at the top so it would stick out over the faux pocket along with the first sentiment. The inside sentiment was stamped lower hidden behind the flap. The image and sentiments are SU Beautiful Season set. This card means a lot to me because it brings back memories of my Grandmother, who I've mentioned before on this blog loved birds. One memory I have is how she always had bird ornaments hanging on her Christmas tree and so I've added a cardinal ornament to mine in memory of her. I miss you Grandma... this cards for you.

Gifts of Joy to You

Every year I make my mom some sort of gift card holder or money holder she can use for the family gifts. Well this year I asked her if it was OK if I just made a standard card but gift themed. I can't take credit for the layout because I got it from the SU Holiday mini.

The stamp is Bella and the sentiment is SU's set Gifts of Joy that I punched out with the designer label punch. I colored the Bella with markers and the papers are DCWV and the Paper Company. Like I mentioned last week I have some covered comp books to share with you.

The first comp book I covered seemed to take me forever but as I got the hang of it it went much faster. On the bottom... I covered that one with old DCWV papers getting the color scheme from the stickers used. The stickers are Studio G stickers from Walmart for $.97. I also made a post it holder to match using the same stickers and papers.
Top left ... I found the wooden Friends sentiment at Michael's in the dollar bin so I grabbed 3 of them not sure what I was going to do with it. It fit perfectly up the side of the notebook. The coffee pot and cup are cut From My Kitchen cart and the little sentiment is from Verve Delightful and Delicious set, also used with the post it holder to match this book.
Top right ... What's cookin' All the cuts are made From My Kitchen cart except the sentiment which I used A Child's Year for the letters. I picked up some recipe cards at Michael's in the dollar bin and that's where I got the idea for this book using one of the cards on the front. The post it note holder uses the sentiment and image from SU's Voila set.

Leftover Turkey

I know Thanksgiving is over and you've probably had your fill of turkey and are wondering what to do with all the leftovers in your fridge but I have one more fall card to share with you before I start my Christmas projects. Poor little Turkey Lurkey here was a last minute fall card. Really easy to do. I believe the layout was a Mojo sketch.

The dp is DCWV and the sentiment and turkey are from Verve's Bountiful Harvest set. I colored the turkey with SU markers. It doesn't show in the picture but the floral panel has all kinds of glitter on it. This post was scheduled early because as you're reading this I'm in the middle of decorating for Christmas. That's our tradition to decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving. I can't even share any Black Friday deals I may have got because it hasn't happened yet. I hope you got some great deals. Harvest Blessings

Here's another example of Spring meets Fall. The stamp set used is SU Fabulous Florets that debuted in the Spring Mini I believe. I stamped the flower with versamark on some Really Rust SU paper, heat embossed with clear powder and Voila ... Fall flower. I stamped the leaves with Early Expresso and I pop dotted the flower to give it some dimension. The dp (DCWV) behind looks like its one long panel but actually its 2 seperate panels trimmed with the scallop trim border punch SU. The sentiment is from Verve Bountiful Harvest set punched out with the Designer Label punch SU.

Totally Nuts

Do you like the title? That's how I feel sometimes LOL. Although I left off part of the sentiment... Totally Nuts for You. This is a new Studio G set I picked up at Walmart for $.97. I've seen many a cricut squirrel card done with similar sayings so I was thrilled to find this sentiment so I could make one too.

I used Mojo207 for the layout which gave me a chance to use some more dp from DCWV Harvest Gathering stack. I thought the tree dp was a perfect pair to go with the squirrel image. I embossed the 2 layers with a Sizzix folder. The squirrel from Winter Woodlands cart was cut at 2 1/2 in and then rubbed with some SU chocolate chip ink. I didn't like the little acorn cut from this cart so I just stamped the acorn that came in the Studio G set on some kraft paper and cut it out. The sentiment was punched with SU's curly label punch. Autumn is the Second Spring

I love this sentiment especially since Fall is my favorite time of year, so that's why I used it as the main focal point on this card.

The stamp is from The Paper Company set Autumn Harvest along with the image. I couldn't wait to put these colors together. I love the way SU's new Pool Party looks with the yellow mustard color. The patterned paper is DCWV new Autumn stack Harvest Gathering. I had originally stamped some leaves and cut them out but I thought it looked too sloppy so I decided to cut some leaves with the cricut A Child's Year cart at 1 1/4in. To give the leaves a little bit of texture I stamped the leaves from SU's set French Foilage over top. The pool party panel is embossed with a Sizzix folder and edged with SU's scallop trim border punch. I think this one is my favorite of the fall cards I've done this year. I hope you liked it too. To Be Frank - I Love Halloween

Happy Halloween!! I know I'm a day early but I only post on Sundays so ... Poor little Frankie here just wants to have a good time on Halloween, he's not trying to scare the kiddies, why he's even cracking a little smile.

This is the best $1 stamp I've ever bought. First because its too cute and second because it fits me to a tee. LOL This card is a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square. I know its an odd size but I don't have envelopes to fit a 5in square and this size will fit into the card envelopes perfectly. The dp on the card is none other than DCWV. The stamp was picked up at Michaels last year in the dollar bin. He's colored with SU markers and I added a little striping to his patch on his shirt. And why not throw in a little drippy goo for good measure (punch by Martha Stewart) Have a safe and hauntingly good Halloween. See ya next month.

And Boo to You Too

When I made today's card the first thing I thought of was It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown when you see the back of Snoopy rising out of the pumpkin patch and Linus passes out. A classic. Again I used the Halloween stamp set from Recollections. Its become my new favorite set and I paired it with the pumpkins from Verve's set Bountiful Harvest.

The papers are DCWV Ghosts and Goblins mat stack. I love the pumpkin, gray and cream combo. I stamped the ghost cut him out and did the same with the pumpkins after I colored them with SU markers. I added a little bling to the pumpkins with some lime and yellow stickles.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and before I go I wanted to share with you a Halloween card my little budding artist made for Daddy. The only thing I did was cut the paper and fold it and help him punch the circle. Everything else he did on his own.

We're Off to Find the Witch's House

Who's house? The witch's house. We're off to find the witch's house, but we're not afraid. No we're not afraid. This is one of my son's favorite books and has us read it often, even if its not Halloween. So how about a Witch card for today.

This is another image from the Halloween Recollection set from Michaels. I colored her with the new SU marker Wisteria Wonder. I didn't think I was going to like this color but I do. The SU book really doesn't do it justice and I think pairing it with gray and yellow is a pretty good color combo. I embossed the wisteria layer with Tim Holtz Damask folder. The yellow glitzy paper is from DCWV and on top of that I threw in a little cricut with the scary tree from Celebrate with Flourish cut at 4in. I chalked the edges of the moon to give it a little more color. The purple strip was some left over dp that I thought matched well and added the scallop border punch to it. I'll also share the inside of today's card with you.

I decorated the inside with some dp scraps and stamped the little skull in the corner, also from the same Recollection set.
... We're knocking on the witch's door. Who's door? The witch's door .... There she is- she's standing there! She's standing where? She's standing there! There she is - she's standing there! and we all scream TRICK OR TREAT!

A Haunting We Will Go ... Mini Halloween Album and Scrapbook pg

You know how they have CAS for Clean and Simple cards well I'm going to come up with my own abbreviation ... QAE for Quick and Easy scrapbook page. This page was so simple to do mainly because it was already sectioned off into squares as the design.

All I did was add some dp to break up the plain colored squares, section off where I wanted my photos to go. Added some 3 dimensional stickers, a little stamping and one cricut cut. It took a matter of minutes to put together. Now on to the mini album ... this post has many pics

When I originally had the idea to do this album I was going to make everything from the Cricut to embellish it then I started digging through my enormous stash and found a HUGE amount of Halloween stickers that I just haven't been able to part with. I know it seems using stickers on anything now is so taboo. But I hope you like the way this turned out.

All the papers are from Cloud 9 Season stack that I picked up at Joanns last year. The house shape was cut with the cricut using Kate's ABC cart and the house image cut at 5 1/2. The inside flap here will hold a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. picture.

The next pages gives you a little journaling block with Mrs Frankie there and a place to hold a 3x4 in. picture. I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz tea dye ink distress ink. I'm sorry I can't tell you the name of all the stickers I used for this but I've had them so long none are in their original packaging.

This spot is big enough for a 3 x 3 1/2 in. picture. So are you rethinking your sticker stash? You know you have one. Go ahead dig into it. I won't tell.

Almost done now. This one will hold a 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 inch pic and I left it so the picture will fit up under the scallop the witch is on. One last page to go.

You have here a little journaling block under the flying witch and another space for a 3x3 pic. For the stickers that are sticking up above the house or off the edge somewhere I rubbed a cottonball on the back of them so they won't stick to anything else but where I have them. So now go on and get to making your own little album. This one only took 2 1/2 hours to complete so I know you can do it too. Happy Haunting.

Have a Fang-Tabulous Halloween

Well its my favorite time of the year and instead of being a month early with my Halloween posts like last year I tried to control myself and wait till October.... woo hoo its time. I tried to mix it up a bit. Last year was all about the witches but this year I've got vampires, ghosts, Frankie and a witch thrown in for good measure. Not to mention I did a Halloween scrapbook album that I will post next week along with a quick and easy scrapbook page. So onto today's card.

This vampire is from a Recollection set I picked up at Michaels. I would post the name but it doesn't have one on the package. Its a cling rubber set that I used for most of the Halloween projects this month. Old Edward here (yes I named the vampire Edward, aren't all good vamps named Edward?)has been colored with SU markers. The patterned paper is DCWV new Halloween stack Ghosts and Goblins. I dry embossed the black bg with a Tim Holtz folder Damask. Of course it wouldn't be complete with out Martha's drippy goo punch. Squares Galore ... You're on my Mind

Do you have a lot of dp scraps laying around? Well today's card is the perfect way to use them up. It's all about the squares ...

I punched the squares out at 1 1/2 in. You need about 3 of each of 4 patterns, at least that's what I found was a good amount for an even design. When I started to lay them out I found I had to overlap some of the squares but by placing the large image in the center its not noticable. All the dp is from All Dressed Up DCWV stack. I've used that paper quite a bit recently, hence the pile of scraps. The center image is SU Upsy Daisy which I stamped in Baja Breeze ink. Layering the image with black and baja and repeating the same for the sentiment.

3 Cards for the Price of One

How about 3 cards for today. Instead of spreading this out over 2 or 3 weeks I thought I'd show all the cards I made with one set (Sewing by TPC Studio bought at Joanns). I'm trying something a little different. It won't be like this all the time but I would hate for my readers to get bored with the same type of posts week in and week out, since I'm only posting once a week now. By the way is everyone liking the 1 per week or does it matter? Well let's get to the card making.

A Rainbow of Color ... The layout for this card was a sketch on SCS. I can never get those done on time anymore so I just add them to my sketch book and refer to as needed. I think the spool of thread in this set is cute and decided to add one on each of the panels. I colored them with SU markers crushed curry, pacific point, melon mambo and the green is colored with Bic mark its. I tried to layer each panel with the same color but its hard to see. The pin cushion was colored with tombow markers. Border is done with SU scallop trim border punch.

1 card 2 versions ... The next set of cards are identical except for the paper and color scheme. The first is more elegant or fancy using the same spool of thread stamp. I cut the card as if I was making a card with the fold at the top, then I cut an inch and a half off the bottom top layer and turned the card on its side.

The black layer is embossed with Tim Holtz folder and the pattern paper is from the DCWV All Dressed Up Stack. I grabbed scraps for the border in the center which is baja breeze. The same color I used to color the thread. The little white buttons were cut from the SU embosslit Sweet Buttons. Inside is stamped the same sentiment from the other card ... Friendships are sewn one stitch at a time.

This version is a little more fun with the diamonds embossing on the mambo layer and the orange DP from the Summer DCWV stack. The color inspiration came from the small strip that is on the side of the card with the pink, orange and white flowers, also DCWV paper. I added the same buttons from the SU embosslit.

Sunshine ... Inside and Out

August was quite the month for us. It seemed like when one issue was done being dealt with something else happened. The sentiment on today's card couldn't be more fitting for what we went through.... Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own SUNSHINE. This sentiment is from Verve Blue Skies set and my goal was to showcase it on a card.

Here's how it was made. The base was covered with some Kraft paper from Joann's. I had the yellow plaid from a very old DCWV mat stack. The scalloped edge is from SU scallop trim border punch. The blue panel is embossed with the cuttlebug and I forget the name of the folder. The sunshine and clouds are from the cricut lite cart Celebrate with Flourish. Did you know Walmart had those on sale for $20. Well a girl can't pass up a sale. The sun and clouds were cut out at 3 1/2 inches. The ribbon, oh how I'm trying to use up some of my ribbon. Anyone who visits frequently will know my love hate relationship with bows. So I made a faux bow today. I took the brad wrapped the prongs around the ribbon and Voila...a bow. The mushroom is from SU's Unfrogettable set and was a last minute add on for a pop of color ... is it too much? Maybe. Oh and I actually did the inside of the card too. Nothing really fancy but that is my new goal, not to leave the insides blank. I mean why else am I saving all these scraps. I might as well use them.

100 ... I Think Someone Deserves some Candy

Can you believe the summer is over, tomorrow is Labor Day and my son is an official first grader. I don't know where the time has gone. So I wake up one day pop on my blog and see I have finally reached 100 followers. I have to say I was very excited. I know many say why does it matter who follows or not. I'm just glad someone is reading it. I'm hoping that you find a little inspriation here. I'm not big on techniques and I don't really do anything fancy. I just do what I love, play with paper. lol No wonder I loved coloring so much as a kid. So to say Thank You to all you wonderful blog readers out there I'm giving away a little blog candy Here's what you have to do. Leave a comment on this post and please leave me a way to contact you. A little bit of everything. First off a great book with ideas and sketches from Cardmaker's, some Brenda Walton 6x6 paper and matching embossed label stickers (great for scrapbooking or to embellish the inside of a card), some chipboard accents by colorbok, a stamp set from scrappy cat and some cuttlekid alpha dies. Don't worry if you don't have a cuttlekid machine as long as you have a cuttlebug they work just fine. If you have a blog and post a link to my candy that would be great but its not a requirement.

How about a little card for today too. Can I just say I love the Cricut Magazine and I owe it all to my friend Sarah who I talk about often on here for getting me a subscription for my birthday. I will say the magazine however is bad for my wallet. It makes me want way more cartridges than I really need. The following card is a case from the June/July issue. I changed it up by adding a sentiment instead of making it a party invite and I changed the colors. But because of that card it just sealed the deal that I had to get the Forever Young cartridge and the rest is history so they say. Here's the card

Blue Skies

My last post for August. Who knew this summer would fly by so quickly. This post will be just as quick. Today is all about blue and orange... a color challenge. Did you do your card Sarah? Anyway, I ran right to my stash of DCWV papers and pulled what I thought went together well. The striped paper is from Hippie Chic, the rest is from The Citrus Stack. The balloon is Verve Up up and Away set and the sentiment is from Blue Skies. It doesn't show real well in this photo but everything is really sparkly. Well I'm off, see you in September.

Something Different

I thought I'd share something besides a card with you today. This was a project I did years ago. Its a CD case turned into a mini scrapbook or photo frame. I popped out the insides and then just cut your dp to fit inside the little tabs. I added some stickers and ribbon, its supposed to have a vintage feel. Then you can either glue your pics inside or do as I did and use a clip to hold a picture so you can change it out when you want to. That was my plan but I love this picture of my baby so much that I never did change it. This was taken 5yrs ago when I caught him standing at our front door looking at the world outside.

Hello Mojo

Ok so I'm cheating a little bit again. Today's card is for a personal challenge between my friend and I and if you're a regular reader of my blog you know this has been going on for months now, about 2 a month. Well we were supposed to use a Verve sketch for today's challenge but I cheated and used Mojo ... shhhh don't tell her maybe she won't know. LOL

So here's what I used. I used some Groovy Guava on top of some white. The dp was a sample given to me by a friend so I really don't know who its by but I loved the colors in it and that's where the color inspiration came from for this card. I used another piece of dp for the border. The Hello stamp was a dollar find at Joann's I believe by Studio 112. I rarely just have a sentiment on the front of my card so this was a little out of the box for me. I colored it with SU markers and then stamped the Verve butterfly from Blue Skies. I think the SU razzleberry fit well with these colors and used a little bit of it in the scallop circle.

Well there was a slight mix up last week and somehow 2 posts got posted in one week but that's ok because it gives me a chance to share a scrapbook page I did from our recent trip to Disney. Since we've been home I've been asked what was my favorite part of Disney World and it wasn't the rides or the food or a certain park, it was watching my son experience Disney for the first time and seeing some of the things that brought him pure joy. One of which was getting transformed into a Pirate! If you have a Pirate loving kid and you're on your way to Disney World I can't recommend The Pirate's League in the Magic Kingdom enough. It was the absolute best experience next to the character breakfast we attended. Well enough jabbering and on to the photo

Here's page 1 of the 2 pg spread. I used cricut Wall Decor and More cart and cut out the skull. The title at the top was done with A Child's Year cart. The rest is a combo of stickers. One of the exciting things about that happened after the transformation was we were just in time for the Captain Jack Sparrow tutorial and our son was lucky enough to get picked to be on stage with him.

Ode to the Mouse

Well this is my Ode to Mickey Mouse. I love Mickey, have since I was a kid. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was a must see in my house growing up. M-I-C see ya real soon K-E-Y Why because we love you M-O-U-S-E. And to top it all off we just got back from a 2 week trip to Disney and it was our son's first visit to the Kingdom. If I ever find time to scrapbook the pics I'll try to put some on here.

So back to the card. This would be a perfect card for a kids birthday or if you wanted to surprise someone with their own trip to visit the Mouse. I layered some real red over the white base and added a piece of striped DCWV paper. I layered the polk dot panel and the striped panel with some Daffodil Delight by SU to bring in the color from Mickey's shoes. The Mickey stamp I got from JoAnn's a year ago in anticipation of our Disney trip. I colored Mickey with markers and stamped the sentiment from the same set. The 2 buttons are to represent the buttons on Mickey's pants. I hope you enjoyed today's post. Summer will be over before you know it. Enjoy your week

You Quack Me Up

So I'm on the fence about this card. While I think the duck is the cutest I'm not sure about the rest. I'll try to explain what I was going for. The bg paper was chosen to represent the water, along with the foilage you would see growing around a pond without being literal. I added the 2 scallop borders to try to represent the flow of water and the orange panel was to add a sense of warmth around all the cool blue. Sometimes I look at it and think yep it turned out ok and then other times its missing something. Maybe if I dig in my stash I can find a little bobble or something to add as an embellishment somewhere. What do you think?

I picked up this cute little sewing set at JoAnns back in April. I just couldn't pass up this saying. This is one of the new cling sets J's is carrying. Here's the details ... The base is white, layered with SU crumb cake. I took a piece of scrap red stripe paper most likely DCWV and layered in the center. The spool was stamped with stazon and colored with markers. I stamped the scissors and tape measure, colored them then cut them out. The 2 edge punches are both SU. Today's post is short and sweet. Thanks for stopping by.

This is such a lovely sentiment from Verve. I saw a card made that paired this sentiment and the bird image together and thought it was beautiful together. However my card ... I'm unsure how I feel about it. I look at it and like it then I look again and think "eh". So its a love/hate relationship right now. The colors were chosen from the dp. I pulled the colores from the swirl up the side and used black, bermuda bay and just a touch of celery. The branch at the top is SU Watercolor trio stamped and cut out and then I added some bermuda bay flowers to it. Not exactly sure I'm loving it. I do however like this color combo and will have to add it to my memory file to use again.

Treasure It

Today's card is actually one I used for Mother's day this year. In trying to use what you have theme I broke out a dusty set from TAC called Treasure It for the large flower. The small flower is from Verve's Feel the Sun along with the sentiment. I did use some new paper I picked up from DCWV and I have to say its a new stack I'm in love with called Lemon Flower. The papers are so pretty I really had to force myself to cut these 2 pieces up. The yellow is SU's daffodil delight and I've mentioned before its my new fav yellow. I colored the flowers with SU markers and added some black stickles to the center. The butterfly is a MS punch.

Summer Strawberries

Today's card was for another personal challenge with my friend and the theme is Summer. What's more summer than strawberries... Strawberry pie, strawberry ice cream, strawberry shortcake ... mmmm.
So here's how the card was done. Red cardstock was embossed with cuttlebugs polka dot folder. The gingham paper is old DCWV I've had since I first started card making. I layered it on some white and then punched the edge with SU scalloped trim punch. The basket is from Verve Chicks Rule set. I stamped it on some white and colored it with SU markers. The strawberries are from SU tart and tangy. Stamped on red with Real Red ink then I added the white seeds with a marker. I stamped the strawberry again and cut out the top in wasabi. I applied a couple with pop dots and there you go. Oh and the sentiment is verve from the delightful and delicious sets. I love mixing my sets.

My friend sent me some of these adorable images to try out and for the life of me I can't remember the name of them. Bonnie Blue? Bonnie Belle? Oh hopefully she'll post a comment and correct me. Anyway this one was my favorite, she's just too sweet.
So here's what I did for this card. I used bashful blue on the white base and embossed it with the SU folder elegant bouquet. I used a scrap piece of paper from dcwv Posey stack and then took the rest of the color inspiraton from there. You can't see it in the pic but the dp has just a hint of the orange so to set it off I used tangerine tango in small amounts. The image was colored with SU markers and I highlighted the flowers with a little sparkle using stardust stickles. I hope you like it and thanks bunches Sarah for sending me these adorable images.

Lucky Duck

Today's card was made for Father's Day. This will be given to Dad/Granddads from my son with the sentiment written inside saying "I'm one lucky duck to have you as a Daddy..." I can't take full credit for the idea for this card. When this Verve set was released in March I saw someone make a card using a bingo card and this saying but it didn't have the duck image on it. I looked for the card again to link it but didn't find it so THANK YOU to whoever made the original.

So here's the details... The base was layered with some SU black and the dp layer is from the DCWV glitter stack. The bingo card is by Unity, stamped in stazon and cut out. I stamped the saying and used the SU punches. The duck was stamped on SU So Saffron and then I added some marker details to the image after cutting it out. The sentiment and duck are both up on pop dots.

And Many Mower

I've said it before and I'll say it again I'm always in need of masculine style cards and since my Many Mower SU set has been collecting dust I thought I'd break it out and make some manly birthday cards. This was super simple to do. The blue layer was some left over cheap paper I picked up at Joann's years ago. I stamped the mower in stazon and colored with SU markers and then layered that panel with some Kraft paper. The grass was cut with the cricut at 2 inches using the paper dolls cart. The clouds are from the Fiskars clear stamp set called Playful Day. This set has some cute images that could be used as accents on several styles of cards.

The Journey

Today's card was another personal challenge between me and my friend. Can you guess the theme? I'm always in need of a masculine card and I never seem to have any on hand. Well I'm getting ahead of the game and went ahead and made up several of these. Now I know this isn't exactly black and white for this month's theme but close enough.

The stamp set I used for this is by Tim Holtz called the Journey. This is the first time I'm using this set and it has some great images. Since the theme was masculine I tried to really keep it clean which is hard for me to do. I kept true to myself and did several layers but at the same time not going overboard. So the base is SU black layered with crumb cake and do you know how badly I wanted to emboss that layer but I restrained myself from going near the cuttlebug. The 2 dp panels are DCWV Le Creme stack. I loved the sentiment that came in this Tim Holtz set and wanted to showcase it along with the truck image. I originally stamped it on white paper but it just stood out too much so that's when I went with the kraft panel. I think the photo corner punch added a nice masculine touch. It's all Black and White Mom

I'm sticking with the black and white theme this month. I hope you have enjoyed it. Its something different I usually don't carry a theme through for the whole month. Anyway on to the card. I don't use this Elements of Style set from SU enough. I've decided to use ALL my sets more. So I'm breaking into my stash and pulling out those that have been neglected for awhile.

Here's the details. The side panel was made using the swirl stamp from the Elements of Style set. The flowers were stamped in stazon and colored with a red tombow marker. I added the glitzy polka dot paper from the polka dots, stripes and plaid DCWV stack and the little scallop border is a SU punch. The MOM came from SU's set Messages for Mom. I had originally colored it in red but didn't like it so kept it simple with the black and white. Thanks for stopping by today. One more Black and white card for the month, though its not so white.

Popcorn and a Movie

I'll grab the tickets... you get the popcorn! What's the latest movie you've seen? I haven't been to the movies in awhile. I'd have to check the movie stubs my hubby holds on to so we don't argue about whether or not the last movie we saw was a chic flick or an action movie.

This card would be great for a party or a get together with your girlfriends or even for your significant other if they need a hint that you're ready for a night out. Here's the supplies I used and how it all came together. It started out with that cute popcorn image from Fiskars Cupcakes and More set that I found at Joanns. It just so happened I picked up a set from inkadinkado several months ago called Paperwork greetings that had the ticket stub and let's do list. I can't believe I've neglected this set for so long. I have about twenty images I could use with the let's do list but yet there it sat waiting and begging to be used. The paper is old DCWV mat stack.

I think maybe I'll give this card to my husband, maybe that will give him the hint that I need a night out. Thanks for looking.

A Rose Especially for You

I want to give my friend Sarah the credit for the inspiration behind this card. If it wasn't for her coming up with the idea to do personal challenges and then sending a card using this awesome sketch I don't think this card ever would have been created. So thanks Sarah for the wonderful inspiration.

The start of this card all came from a layout on a birthday card and the second inspiration was for the flower challenge from Sarah. I started with the black layer that I embossed with the finial press folder then I chose this gorgeous flocked paper from DCWV Le Creme stack. It was so hard to cut this paper up. One of the first sets I got from SU was Flower Garden so it was nice breaking it out again and inking it up. I colored the rose with markers and when I put the panel on the card the white background was too stark against the aged dp. So I used some Ranger ink Antique Linen and rubbed it on with a cotton ball.

Have you noticed I kind of have a black and white theme going this month, maybe I'll just carry it through.

Sew Sweet

One of the reasons I wanted the cricut cart Wall Decor and More was for these 2 cuts here. Did I know what I was going to do with them ... NO ... but I knew I wanted to create something with them and when cleaning up my stamp space I ran across this tag sentiment that I completely forgot I had and so the light bulb went off and I knew how I would use it with these 2 cuts.

I used the SCS sketch sc324 which can be found in the Splitcoast forums under challenges and card sketches in case you've never checked it out. I started with the bg paper. I chose this stripe paper because of the faux stitching on it. I then added my white panel layered with black and real red. I had decided all along that the red was going to be my POP of color. which is why I tried to use a little of it on every element. The form and scissors were cut at 3 in. To get the red handles on the scissors I just cut it out twice and snipped it off where I needed it. With the scissors just hanging up in the top corner I needed something to anchor the whole thing together then I thought of the show Project Runway and that's where I got the idea of adding the ribbon.

A Few Changes ...

Since I have almost a 100 followers now I just wanted to give a little heads up on my posting changes over the next few months. I have a very busy schedule ahead of me and so I won't be able to devote as much time to blogging, however I'm not going to leave everyone high and dry with nothing to read over the next 4 months.

So I'm just letting everyone know that instead of my posts coming out every 3 or 4 days I will only be posting cards on SUNDAYS just through summer then I'll get back to my regularly scheduled program in the fall. I think that will also be a good time for a blog candy give away too, so hopefully you'll stick around with me and I hope you like what I have coming up in the next few months.

Kate's Bunny

Happy Easter! Today's card was made with the new Cricut cart Kate's ABC's. Even though I don't have a girl I wanted this cart for the additional images it had on it like this adorable little bunny scene. This was my first time using this cartridge and I cut the bunny and layers at 3 inches. This was also my very first attempt at an easel card. I have been wanting to make one of these for months now and never attempted it thinking it would be too hard until a friend sent me one. So using hers as the visual and for the measurements I gave it a try and I have to say it was much easier than I thought it was going to be.

He Has Risen

I usually don't do religious style cards mainly because I don't have many religious style stamps but I did pick this sentiment up a couple years ago at Michaels in the dollar stamp bin. I love the new yellow from Stampin Up called Daffodil Delight. Its so rich and vibrant and I'm not a big yellow fan either. So to make this card I covered the white base with a layer of Daffodil Delight that I embossed with finial press sizzix folder also by SU. The trellis is a Martha Stewart large punch that I punched out twice and layered over each other. I got the leaves from SU's two step bird punch and punched those out in celery. I added the 2 flowers with my EK Success punch. After it was all put together it needed a little something else so that's when I decided to add the bird from the SU two step bird punch. But with it punched just in white it seemed to get lost on the card. So I punched out 2 more birds in yellow and positioned it as a layer under the white bird.

Today's card is for another personal challenge between me and my friend Sarah. Can you guess the theme of this one... yep Easter. Digging through my very small stash of Easter sets I found this cute little image from TAC I Love Easter set. I think this image is adorable showing the bunny's backside which is why I named the post Peter Cottontail.

So here's how it was made. Started with the white base and layered on the celery layer embossed with the SU tulip sizzix folder... I believe this is the first framed embossing folder I have and I'm really liking it. Hope they come out with some more. The center panel is a mix of DCWV papers, the plaid is from dots, stripes and plaids stack and the plain purple is left over scraps from Latte stack. I added the scallop trim border piece in white to bridge the 2. I stamped the image and colored it with markers adding a little stickle glitz to the tail.

Hoppy Easter

Well its that time. Easter just a couple weeks away and I've been working on Easter cards for the past month. So I hope you're in the mood to see some Easter creations over the next few posts. Today's card was made with Verve's set Chocolate Bunnies and even though I've owned this set for almost a year this is actually the first time it was inked up. I'm also trying to use up some more scraps so I grabbed the color inspiration from the polka dot paper and off I went. The base is white layered with pale plum that was embossed with a sizzix folder called snow something but it doesn't look like snow to me. The polka paper is from DCWV latte stack. The image was colored with SU markers and mounted on some more dp from the latte stack that is an eggplant color. I used the strip of celery punched with MS border punch to pull some of the green out. The sentiment is also from the same set. Did you get a head start on your Easter cards?

You're Egg-stra Special

New Verve is in the house! I loved the March release from Verve so much I got them all. I usually don't do that but all the sets were just too cute to pass up and on this card I showcased 2 of them. The basket and eggs are from Eggstra Special and little chickie here is from Chicks Rule, a set I can't wait to use more.

So here's how it was done. The base is some old K and Co paper and the center layer is DCWV Cafe Mediterrean stack that I layered on white and used the SU border punch. I stamped the basket twice. Once on the large panel and then again on a piece of scrap paper to cut the base out. I colored it with SU markers and applied it with a pop dot. The chick was stamped on Daffodil delight and cut out then I went around the edges with the daffodil marker to add some shading. I stamped the eggs and colored with SU markers celery and daffodil. The 2 in the center are up on pop dots also. This card is for the grandparents for Easter from my son. I hope they like it and I hope you liked it too. Thanks for stopping by.

Bonjour

Bonjour April, Bonjour Spring! I'm ready to just skip right over spring and head straight to the warm days of summer. I'm not even giving spring a chance this year. So what inspired this card today really has nothing to do with the temps, season or anything like that but as the song goes I love Paris in the Springtime.... anyway to get back on track my son has been all about the word Bonjour lately and figuring out how to say it and what it means. He's been watching a lot of Ratatouille. So that inspired me to break out my Tim Holtz French Market set and start creating.

The background is going gray SU embossed with a sizzix diamond folder. I then used some scraps of pink dp from DCWV Luxury stack. I originally just had the image in black but it looked so drab that I went back and highlighted certain portions with the SU pink pirouette marker. The Bonjour sentiment is from SU carte postale set. Well if you're a regular visitor to my blog you would notice that I love these coffee stamps. Here's another card made with the Verve set Delightful and Delicious. The sketch is from SCS but I'm not sure of the number. Anyway I loved the sketch. I wanted to use some more of the papers from the La Creme stack dcwv. I'm not sure if it shows very well in the pic but the paper is flocked which adds another texture element to the card. I used the D'Vine swirls folder on the Kraft card base to simulate the steam from the cups. Everything was stamped in stazon black and I added a little color to it with the crumb cake marker from SU.

My Latest Chirp

So is the title a little corny? Well you know twitter and its tweets and since there are a couple of our fine feathered friends on here ... well OK, so its a little corny but so am I. So this card was done for another personal challenge between my friend Sarah and I. It was to use our Verve set Wordy Birds. I think this set is so darn cute and then I stare at it and think what am I going to do with this. I know when I bought it I had all these fabulous ideas for it so where are they? Stashed in the back of my brain somewhere hiding while I struggle to remember what I was going to do.

So here's what I did with this card. The base is choc chip SU and in keeping with the theme of using up my stash this year I broke out the Green Stack from DCWV and picked 2 coordinating papers from it that are a close match to baja breeze by SU. The birds I stamped on some old SU paper and cut out. So they weren't just floating there I added the little strip of celery punched with the scallop trim border punch to simulate grass.

Todays card inspiration came from a friend of mine who has a wonderful blog and challenge blog. I have had this set from inkadinkado for over a year and only used it once but when I saw this CARD I just knew I had to break out this set and give it another try.

So playing off of her card I used a different image and sentiment from the same set Dogs. Haven't we all had one of those kind of days? I didn't have the gorgeous ribbon she used so I broke out the black polka dots and did a faux ribbon bow on it. Yes I tried my easy bow maker and just couldn't get it to work this time. So I faked it. I hope you like this card and thanks Siobhan for the inspiration. Dropping You a Line

Shopping at Joann's is bad for your wallet. I don't know how your J store is but the super one I frequent puts all their dollar bins along the check out line so as you're waiting your turn for the check out you get to shop while you wait and of course one of those dollar bins is stamps and after all who can pass up a dollar stamp set. I mean what a bargain. So during one of my trips while perusing the bins I found this sweet little set and thought well I just have to have it. UGH!! But I'm so glad I picked it up even if its been sitting on my desk for at least 6 months waiting to be inked up before it can be put away.

So here's the concept behind this card. Started with the Studio G set and wanted to keep the card kind of clean, but I guess it doesn't technically qualify for CAS with all the layers. Anyway I started with the fish image and how I got this little guy striped was by pulling my marker back and forth only doing one pass each time. When I saw the little bubble image that could be cut out I wanted to carry on with that theme. So I used the quickkutz polka dot embossing folder on my base. Then sticking with the bubbles and finding something that would match nemo here I found this dp in a dcwv mat stack Summer. I added the bashful blue swirled layer to simulate my water and finished it with some ribbon I just had laying around.

Just a Sliver?

Who doesn't love cake. Well I know there are pie lovers out there but really nothing is better than a big piece of chocolate cake with yummy, gooey, chocolate icing and ... oh ok wait a minute I'm getting off track here.

Today's card is all about the birthday and the sentiment is just as true as they come. Birthdays are no day to eat just a sliver. This card was made with SU's hostess set called Birthday Bakery. I paired this cute image wth DCWV papers. The top dp is from the Sweet stack and the bottom dp is more hoarded paper that I finally cut up. I'm a cutting machine with all this hoarded dp lately. The image was colored with some SU markers and I added a little stardust stickles to some of the cakes.

Green Inspirations

This card was made for the private challenge my friend and I have going on. Today's challenge was make a green card. OK this was so hard for me. I'm not big on making St Patty day cards so I knew that was out. What was I going to do that was basically green.

Well I got this cute new set from SU saleabration called Sweet Summer so that's where I started with my inspiration. Celery is one of my fav greens from SU so that was the next step and then it just kind of fell into place from there. Once I decided on the celery base I found 2 dp's that matched it. Both are DCWV paper, the green stripe is OLD OLD OLD and I was so glad I hung on to it. The floral paper is from the dcwv latte stack that has some of the prettiest papers in it. That's where the plum accents came in at. I took the plum from floral dp and used the perfect and pale plum markers from SU. I cut the one flower out and popped it with dimensionals. The sentiment is also SU from the circle of friendship set. Oh and lets not forget the embossing on the celery. With the swirl of the flower I searched my many embossing folders and found the swirls from the birds and swirls folder matched perfectly. I also threw in a scalloped trim border for good measure though you can barely see it.

I'm very happy with the way this "green" card turned out and hope you like it too. Thanks for having the idea of these challenges Sarah, they are quite fun. Sorry for today's fuzzy picture.

Birds and Flowers

Today's card is a semi case from SCS. I kept the layout and concept of the card but changed all the stamp sets and colors. I was happy to use the SU bird punch again since I've only used it a couple times but had to have it... you know that feeling :)

So here's the details on the card... Base is close to cocoa and layered with some baja breeze that I embossed with SU's new tulip folder. I love the way this folder frames the image. Then I layered some vanilla with some choc chip paper for the insert. I first stamped the speckled bg which is one of the first stamps I ever picked up from Joann's years ago and do not currently know the name of it. The flowers are an SU set watercolor trio that I stamped in artichoke and baja breeze colors. I punched the bird on some cocoa paper and embossed it with the textile folder. The sentiment is also SU from the same set as the flowers watercolor trio. I dug into my ribbon stash and pulled out some of these fibers from who knows where for the finishing touch.

Isn't this statement so true ... lol ... well for me it is. My day doesn't seem to go right without that first cup of coffee in the mornings. Do you see the bow on here? And its not even upside down! That's because my dear Friend bought me a bow easy for Christmas. So now maybe I won't be so ribbon challenged anymore. I'm still getting the hang of it.

So here's what I used on this card. The base is choc chip SU, the rest of the papers are DCWV from the latte stack. The sentiment and coffee cup are Verve Delightful and Delicious set. The sentiment was stamped in expresso SU and the cup stamped in eggplant SU. The border punch is SU's scallop trim border punch.... love it! but I believe I've said that before.

Hello Spring

Bring on the sun and warm weather. While we're speaking of warm ...banners seem to be the hot thing this year on cards and scrapbook pages and I can see why. They add such a cuteness factor and they are addicting once you start doing them. Plus if you have a stash of Alpha stickers and you know you ALL do... its a great way to use them up.

Again I've used up some more of my let's hold on to this paper for just the right occasion. Well I've decided every day is the right occasion. So here we go ... I layered the white base with some basic grey paper from a little 6x6 pad called recess. The plaid layer is DCWV dots, stripes and plaids stack. The polka paper is old dcwv that I've been hoarding. That just about covers the paper end of it.
How the rest was done ... I cut the banner from the cricut using straight from the nest and it was trial and error with the size since I needed so many for the letters. The kite is from the Pooh and Friends cart. The adorable little elephant is Emery from Verve. Just the cutest stamp ever. I stamped him twice on gray and cut just his head out the second time adding pop dots to it. The hello square is also from Verve Happy Hello set.

So Sweet of You

So I'm on my next challenge my friend and I are doing and I kind of cheated at this one. Our challenge for today was we had to pick a MOJO sketch to use and while I did pick a sketch I used a sketch from the Sweet Stop blog. You can find the link in my sidebar under challenges. Hope you don't mind Sarah :)

Isn't this paper pretty? Its from the dcwv stack Hippie Chic. I love the rich colors in it. Now the one color paper I used was from my scrap pile so I'm not sure if its SU's really rust or dusty durango but it matched the colors in the design perfectly. The squares were also from my scrap pile so I really can't tell you the color. I can however tell you the stamp I used for the squares and its by Verve from the Happy Hello set, where the circle and sentiment also came from. To punch the circle out I used the SU punch 1 3/8 circle and as you see works perfectly. When I originally put the card together I left the 2 blue squares blank but it was just too blah so I searched through my stamps for a small image and came across this one from Verve in the Feel the Sun set.

How about I keep with the spring theme for a bit longer and share this one with you.

This card was made for a mag submission that didn't get picked sadly but I like it obviously. The stamps are by Verve, Because of You and Feel the Sun sets. Verve has the best sentiments. The bright dp is DCWV from the Cafe Meditteranean stack. The flower was stamped in pumpkin pie SU and the little butterfly is a MS punch.

Well I actually got to participate in a SCS challenge on the day of the actual challenge. Its been a long time since I've done the sketch challenge on time and this was for SCS320. We're supposed to have spring like weather for the next couple days and the snow is finally melted so this is my ode to Spring arriving. Here's what I used

Base is kraft layered with some dcwv pink and then some dp from dcwv rustic stack. The tree is from SU's branch out set stamped in expresso and the leaves in pretty in pink. The Hello Spring panel is a combo of stamps...Spring from SU and the rest from Verve Happy Hello set. The butterfly is also a verve stamp from Blue Skies and colored with SU markers.

Happy Valentine's Day. I hope everyone gets spoiled a little today. Almost everything on this card is something new. Most of it was a birthday gift from my sweet Rotten friend (and she knows why I'm calling her rotten ) This is the Valentine card I made from my son to the grandparents.

Here's how it was created. The card base is white and layered with bash blue embossed with the quickcutz embossing folder polka dots. The dp is from a new dcwv stack dots, stripes and plaids that I was drooling over in J's but refused to buy because I have tons of paper and I told my friend about my temptation at J's that day and how I stayed strong and left the store without it and then a birthday package showed up for me last month and there was the paper I was drooling over ... she's so rotten LOL The stamps are new from Verve called Love Notes and a plain jane stamp called Emery. Emery is the little elephant that I just fell in love with and I stamped him on gray paper and then cut his body off to make him look like he's hanging over the heart. The scallop circle is a marvy punch and I dotted the scallops with a red marker. Border punch is SU scallop trim border punch.

My Heart Belongs to You ... Second Version

I loved the papers and other elements of my previous My Heart Belongs to You card that I decided to use the same things but rework it a bit. This is what I came up with. For this one I turned the card horizontally and added an extra panel in pink that I ran through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder. Everything else for the card is the same but for those that didn't read my previous post I'll give a quick list of supplies.

Cardstock ... white, real red, pink scraps, dp dcwv doodling around stack.
Cuttlebug ... textile folder and swiss dots folder.
Punches ... Martha Stewart heart border, circles and scallop circles from SU.
Stamps ... greeting card kids SU, sentiment Stampendous
Colored with SU markers added stickles and paper glaze.

Now this card was also done for challenge 2 between my friend Sarah and I. Theme for this one of course was Valentine's Day. I have to say I like version 2 of my card better but I'm a layer type of gal so I think that's why it appeals to me more. Which version do you like better?

The Key to My Heart

I want to give a warm WELCOME and HELLO to my new followers. I hope you find something that inspires you here and I look forward to hearing from you.

I'm really loving the new Verve set Love Notes. This card I created has a mixture of cricut and stamping on it and that seems to be the design of choice for me is mixing up the two. You'll see more of this Verve set I used in some upcoming cards this month. This one could be used for Valentine, Anniversary, Love, a wide variety of occasions. I like the fact that I used up some older stuff I've been hoarding, that's my favorite part of this card. So on to the details...

Base white, then layered with some SU going gray that I embossed with the sizzix folder finial press SU. The dp layer is old old old creative memory paper that I matted with black and used the SU scallop trim border punch. I cut the black swirl from the cricut using the Wall Decor and More cart. I then stamped the heart from Verve on regal rose paper SU and cut it out. Then I stamped the sentiment from the same verve set on it and applied it with pop dots over the swirl. I dug through more of my stash and found some prima flowers I picked up on QVC a couple years ago. It still needed a little something so that's when I broke out the gems I've been hoarding and tried to make my own little swirl with them. The final touch was the little key I cut from Wall Decor and More cricut cart and attached it to the top of the heart after I sponged it a little with some black ink.

My Heart Belongs to You ... CAS style

I have another Valentine for you that's along the lines of a CAS style card with minimal layers. Believe it or not Valentine images are not ones I have a lot of and I almost forgot about this little cutie from the Greeting Card Kids set from SU. So when searching through my stamps and finding her I knew this would be a great image to make a Valentine for my mom.

Real simple to do ... some real red cardstock embossed with the textile folder through the cuttlebug. I then found this fabulous paper in my stash of DCWV stacks Doodlin Around. Did you notice I DIDN"T use the scallop trim border punch on this one. I almost did but remembered I had the Martha Stewart heart border punch instead. I colored the image with some SU markers. I then added some star dust stickles to the base of her dress and little socks. To the heart I added some paper glaze to give it some dimension, which you can barely see in the photo. The sentiment is from a changito set by stampendous and I punched it out layering it with some circles and scallop punch from SU.

Valentine Wishes

Here's a quick Valentine perfect for a friend.

Here's what I used, kraft cardstock, embossed with swiss dots. The dp is from cosmo cricket. The image is Verve petals and stem set, stamped in wild wasabi and riding hood red. I punched the flower out with a circle punch and mounted it on a scallop circle of the same color. It needed the little heart in the middle to say Valentine so I punched that using a ek success punch. The sentiment is from Verve Love Notes stamped over SU's cute and curly label set and then punched out.

Happy Valentine's Day Tweety

I know isn't that a corny title LOL It's the best I could come up with when looking at this card. I was late getting started on my Valentine's Day cards this year. I usually have them done before the first of the year but didn't start them till later this time. This card is really quick to do and gave me a chance to use up so old dp scraps I had laying around in the "I'll use this one day pile".

The bird stamps are from TPC Studio Whimsical Birds and I colored them with a SU marker. The little tag came from the SU set Happy Heart Day, that I cut out by hand and then layered on a black piece of cardstock cutting it out a second time and adding the brad to the top. I stamped the heart from SU's happy hearts and cut it out, also layered it on some black cs. I have to say I think hearts are the hardest thing to cut out and have it not look like my 6yr old cut it... well at least for me. As you can see I also used the scallop trim border punch from SU I am SO addicted to this punch so don't be surprised if you see it ALOT more.

Thank You Takes Flight

Today's card I made as a thank you for my son's birthday party. He actually had a Toy Story themed party but I didn't have anything I could use with that theme for a thank you card so what better than a little red airplane. I think this is one of the favorites of the cricut cards I've done. I got to use 2 of the new carts I got for Christmas on this card, Wall Decor and More and Hoot n Holler. I also used some paper I didn't even remember I had, see what happens when you decide to go through and clean out some stuff in your stamp room. So onto the details...

I started with the white base and layered it with kraft cardstock I ran through the cuttlebug. I cut a 1 3/4 in piece of cloud paper (who knows where it came from) and layered it with white and added the scallop trim border to the bottom. I then cut the plane out from wall decor and more on the shadow feature and cut it at 2 inches. I sponged the plane with some real red ink and stamped the sentiment on the side. My finishing touch to the plane was the little white brad in wheel. The trees were cut from Hoot N Holler at 1 1/2 inches with all its layers. The grass was from Straight from the nest at 1 1/4 inch.

Frosty the Gift Card Holder

My mom asked me in the middle of December if I could make 10 gift card holders for her which I was more than happy to do. So if any of you cruise the splitcoast galleries you would have seen these little cuties everywhere. Mine was all improvised. I really didn't have any measurements was just going along on a wing and a prayer but I'll try to tell you how I put mine together.

I started with a 4x4 card base that you can't see after I attached frosty's face. I cut his face on the cricut Storybook cart using the marquee shape at 5 inches. I glued it to the card base and then cut a 1 1/4 in strip for the brim of his hat and a 2 x 4 3/4 in piece for the top of his hat. I embossed both of those with the cuttlebug. For his eyes I just used some circle punches and added a dot with a white marker. The nose... I punched an orange square and cut the corner off at an angle. I drew on his happy little mouth that acutally makes him look a bit tipsy, he should have laid off the egg nog. The holly is also cut from the cricut Joy of the Season cart. It doesn't show in the pick but he has diamond stickles all around the edge of his face and eyelids to give him a little bling for the holiday season.

A Morning Cup

My friend Sarah asked me if I would be willing to do some challenges with her this year to get her motivated in her stamp room. Of course I said yes and we spent some time talking on the phone deciding what kind of challenges we would be doing and even made out a mini calendar. So here's our first challenge, make a card using a coffee themed stamp. I LOVE coffee... So you know I would love coffee themed stamps and what better stamp set than this one from Verve called Delightful and Delicious.

Here's what I used.... the base is SU soft sky ... oh hear my plea SU and bring back soft sky... I then layered it with some dp from DCWV Linen stack. I added SU Crumb cake to the base too using the scallop trim border punch, my new favorite border punch. The notebook paper is also a Verve stamp from the set Blue Skies along with the little swirl peeking out the side. I stamped the sentiment (verve delightful and delicious set) on the notebook paper with expresso ink SU. I then stamped the cups in expresso and blue bayou ink and cut them out. It needed just one more thing so I added the flower, another verve stamp from petals and stems, to the side stamping it in blue bayou also.

HELLO

Ah, the days of the old rotary telephones when you actually used to pick it up to call someone...not use email, or text and no caller id, if you wanted to know who was on the other end you actually had to answer it.. No voicemail, answering machines (remember the days of the old cassette style answering machines where you had to change the tapes LOL) When you'd get a call pulling the cord as far as it would reach to hide on the basement steps to have a private conversation so your parents didn't hear. Anyone else old enough to remember all of that?

So I picked up the cricut cart From My Kitchen with the plans to make some recipe scrapbook gifts for family. Well I haven't gotten around to that yet but its on my to do list for this year. So while browsing through the images I saw this telephone and LOVED it. I had the handbook open to this page for weeks sitting on my desk reminding me that I needed to use the phone on something.

So here it is ... I used the MOJO sketch 168 as a starting point. I wanted something on the elegant side, maybe even a little vintage and that's where the idea for using the papers from the La Creme stack came from once I had that I had my color palette too.

The base is crumb from SU trimmed with white cs using the scallop trim border punch. I used my nesties labels 2 to put the phone image on that I cut out at 2 1/2 inches. I took a scrap piece of black card stock and cut the bottom of it like a ribbon. Stamped Hello from TPC Studio clear stamp set and punched it out with the curly label punch SU. I then added my ribbon and if you look closely you will see that my ribbon is upside down. Yes this is why I hardly ever add bows to my card. I tried and tried and tried but no matter how I tied that bow the tails ended up at the top and the loops at the bottom so that's how it stayed! Maybe I'll learn the trick one day in adding bows.

You Make the World Special

I finally used my SU medallion stamp on a card I actually like. That stamp has been my nemesis since I bought it. I have seen gorgeous creations made with this stamp but for me it was a thorn in my side. This pic kind of makes the colors looked washed out but in real life its much richer than what you see here.

I started with the white card base and added a piece of SU crumb cake embossed with the finial press folder SU. I then took the greenish dp added it at an angle. I stamped my medallion stamp with stazon black and trimmed it down to fit to the side. I had some left over flocked card stock I bought on clearance years ago from Joann's and thought this card could use a pop of yellow. I added the scallop trim border to it before adhering it to the card. Next I used the Feel The Sun set from Verve for the flower and sentiment. I stamped the flower on 2 different dps and cut it out pasting it together. The sentiment was punched out using designer label punch from SU which I mated with 2 more designer label pieces I off set to each side. The flourish is from the Home Decor cricut cart cut at 1 1/4 inch.

Here's a happy go lucky card for you today. The inspriation for this came out of the Paper Crafts special issue Card Creations Favorite Occasions vol 2. I LOVE this specialty issue. It has so many wonderful cards to draw inspriation from. I have multiple pages dog-eared to refer to. So the original card came from page 16 called Hey Buddy. The original used a plane carrying a message behind but I had to improvise.

The base of this card is SU celery and then its layered with some OLD dcwv papers from who knows where I've had it so long. It has a greenish/blue hue but it doesn't show well in this pic. I then added the white panel and cut the trees and grass and cloud from the cricut cart Straight from the Nest. All the cuts were either 1 1/4 in or 1 1/2 in. I stamped the balloon from Verve's up and away set and then stamped it a second time on some dp and cut it out adding pop dots to it. The sentiment is a clear stamp from TPC Studios that I punched out with the SU's oval punches.

Love ... Tim Holtz style

When I think of Tim Holtz I think of vintage collage and this is my homage to him. This card literally came together just as you see it, layer by layer. I started out with the idea of the bingo card (unity stamp) and Eiffel tower stamp (tim holtz) together on a card and then wasn't sure where I was going to go from there. I love how everything fell into place though.

So after I got those 2 layers done I searched through my wide stash of stamps to see what could be added and what would be more perfect than SU's Carte Postale set. It was nice to dust off this set, I haven't used it in awhile.

So here's how it all was made. I started out stamping the bingo in stazon black and then cutting it out and rubbed ranger tea dye ink on it with a cotton ball. I then stamped the Eiffel tower stamp and did the same thing to it but layered it with some real red cardstock. I stamped the Fleur DE Li's image in real red on the same color cardstock. OK half way there but it still needed a little something. So next came the carte postale sentiment from the SU set of the same name. I thought maybe that was all it needed.

Nope not yet... something else was missing. I stamped the little postage stamp from the same Tim Holtz set the Paris stamp came from added it to the bottom right corner and then I just love the bird from the carte postale Su set and added him in there too but he needed a little bling so after adhering him I covered him in black stickles

I cut out the banner from the cricut cart Straight from the nest at 1 inch and shadowed it in black. I then added some left over stickers to it since I don't have an alpha set small enough to stamp the word Love on there. I stared at this card for a long time making sure it wasn't too much but at the same time making sure I had just enough on it and then came the leaves at the bottom. I stamped them in real red, rubbed the same tea dye ink on it and VOILA I was finis.

This is a super quick project I made in less than 15 minutes. Its a regular 6x9 manilla envelope that I covered with dp from DCWV grade school stack. The purpose of this is to hold my son's report cards. The apple and letter A were both cut from A Child's Year cartridge at 3 inches I believe.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish all of you the happiest of holidays and may you have a wonderful New Year too. Today's post I thought was appropriate for Christmas day since its a pic of my son on Santa's lap. This is a 12x12 layout and I'm so pleased with the way it turned out. I used my new Jolly Holidays cartridge for the cricut. The dp is last years DCWV Christmas Glitter stack. Here's the cuts... the tree at 5 1/2 in, the elf at 3 1/2 in, the presents at 3 in, the squirrel at 2 in, and the deer at 3 inches. Santa letters were cut using the storybook cartridge at 3 inches.

Happy Birthday Grandma

This card was made for my mother-in-law, for her birthday from her grandson. The inspiration for this card came from Amy's blog and can be found HERE I love her blog. Her creations are wonderful.

This card is great to use up some scraps. The base is Kraft, layered with a scrap of dp from DCWV from the posies stack. The white panel is semi layered on another scrap of kraft paper. The clouds were stamped on some su bash blue using the cloud stamp from Verve's up and away set. I free handed the mountains and then ran it through the cuttlebug with the swirls folder. The grass was cut at 1 inch on the cricut using the Paper Dolls Dress up Cart. I stamped Billy (from cat's pajamas) and colored him with markers and as you can see had some issues with this face that turned out really peach. I cut him out and pop dotted him on the card. I see I missed putting the button on and will go back and do that to the edge of the ribbon.

This card reminds me of the Frank Sinatra era and that is probably really dating me but I remember my dad watching his movies and Dean Martin movies. It just makes me think Rat Pack

I made the card for New Years but really you could use it for Congratulations or Birthday. I used the Mojo 167 sketch for my inspiration. The dp is DCWV La Creme stack. The martini was a dollar stamp I picked up years ago and is one of my favorite stamps. The Cheers To You sentiment is from SU Lots of Thoughts set. I ran the white layer through the cuttlebug using a sizzix folder and layered it with some black using the scallop eyelet punch from SU.

From The Heart

I made this card as part of a note card set for a gift this holiday season. The colors are some of my favorite and I hope the recipient likes it too.

Here's how its done. The base is SU river rock...so glad they brought back this color, the beautiful dp is from DCWV Linen Stack (which I think is my all time favorite stack) I used some soft sky for the bottom half of the card and add the scalloped punch detail to the bottom. The image is a combo of 4 stamps from the Watercolor Trio set by Su. I stamped the longer branch in river rock and then used a q-tip to remove the ink from the flowers and colored them with a baja breeze marker. The smaller flower image i colored with SU markers river rock and baja breeze. I also colored the butterfly stamp with the baja breeze marker...looks like I'll have to pick up the baja breeze stamp pad. The sentiment was stamped in SU crumb cake to make the kraft scalloped layer on the card.

CAS Teacher Note

I'm giving you a little break from Christmas cards to show you some quick clean and simple teacher notes I did to add to the teacher gift this year. Really quick and simple to do... real red card base, add your scalloped layer to the bottom. The apple stamp was a dollar stamp from Joann's a couple years ago and the sentiment below is by TPC Studios Greetings (clear stamp set). Let It Snow

Happy Holidays! Are you in the swing of the holiday season? We're decorated and I've started my wrapping. I love being finished with things early so I can sit and enjoy the rest of the time without all the stress of running around last minute.

Here's another winter/Christmas card. I have yet to add a sentiment to it and not sure if I'm going to but I'll tell you how I made it. The base is GP white and is layered with some DCWV patterned paper mounted on kraft cs. I love this littls snowman from winter woodlands cricut cart and I cut him out at 4 inches and added some diamond stickles around the edge. I mounted him on the marquee shape from the Storybook cart that was cut out at 4 1/2 and added the shadow feature too. I ran the white layer through the cuttlebug with the snowflake folder. I also added another cuttlebug layer to the bottom of the card to simulate a snow drift using the d'vine swirls folder and the scallop border from SU.

The Wonder of It All

A little Verve, a little cricut and combine that with DCWV and you get a great idea for a Christmas card. All the dp on this card is from an older DCWV Glitter Christmas stack. I've been hoarding that paper and finally decided it was time to cut it. I'm sure glad I did. The image panel is a mix of stamping and cricut. The top note shape the tree and snowman are on is from the Storybook cart, cut at 3 1/2 inches and with a shadow feature too. I ran the white panel through the cuttlebug using the snowflake folder. The tree is made out of dp from the same stack mentioned cut from the Joys of the Season cart and it was cut out twice so it could be layered with pop dots... I cut each section out separately then layered them. The snowman and sentiment are Verve from the set Snow Wonderful. I stamped the snowman, colored his scarf, hat and nose and then cut him out adding him to the panel with pop dots. I then went back and added some stickles to him so he would sparkle like the tree does.

A Krafty Christmas

Another Christmas card to get you in the festive mood. While you're reading this post I'll be knee deep in christmas boxes, pulling out all our decorations and getting the house dressed and ready for Santa.

So on to the card. This was super simple to do, no stamping and alot of cuttlebug and a little cricut. I was unsure about using Kraft cardstock for a Christmas card but I like the elegant feel to this card. I ran the 2 kraft layers through the cuttlebug with the snowflake embossing folder, layering the smaller panel with white and leaving extra on the edge so I could use the SU scallolp punch on it. The deer was cut with the cricut using Winter Woodlands cart, cutting it at 4 in and attached with pop dots. When I put the deer panel on the card it needed something else and that's when I added the white strip to the bottom cutting the edge with the SU punch and then running it through the cuttlebug with the border embossing folder. A last minute add on was the snowflakes (MS punch) Who would have thought Kraft and white could look so Christmasy.

Holiday Planner

Here's a little holiday planner I made that has all the things you could possibly need to get you through this holiday. Some note cards to use as thank yous or leave a note for Santa. Some 3x3 gift cards, perfect to tuck on top of that package. A couple ornament tags to add to a christmas bag and a little note list you could use to write your cards down on, gifts you need to pick up or just things left to do.

Here's a pic of the inside. To make the planner I took an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, scored it in the center then scored one end an inch and a half from edge. Fold that edge up and there is your pocket. I covered the planner with DCWV paper and used the image from SU's Home for Christmas for the front.

The 3x3 card idea came from Inking Idaho's blog. You can find the link to it in my side bar. Becky has amazing things on her blog. The little Santa/Elf notes are just basically a card front. I used the scraps from the dp so everything would coordinate and the santa/elf stamps are from Stampendous. I colored them with SU markers and added a little sparkle to the fur trim on each of their outfits with some diamond stickles.

Hope you enjoyed this project. It really is quick and easy to do and would even make a great gift for someone. Just a few more days and we'll be decorating for the holidays, time is flying by.

Merry Christmas Dear Friend

This is my first time using the Dasher stamp that I picked up last year but I picked it up after Christmas so I couldn't wait to use it. This was such a simple Christmas card to do.

The base is GP white, then I layered SU riding hood red that I ran through the cuttlebug using the snow dots folder. The dp is from Cloud 9 Design (yep not DCWV) Seasonal stack that I picked up on sale at Joanns. I had tried several different dps before deciding on these 2. I layered the dps with white and left 3/4 extra at the bottom so I could use the SU scallop border punch on it. I thought the sentiment was perfect Merry Christmas Dear Friend from the SU cute and curly set stamped in riding hood red which I also used the SU curly label punch to punch it out.

I think I may go back and add some diamond stickles to the antlers to give the card a little sparkle. Thanks for stopping by today. I have a holiday planner coming up next.

A Cardinal Christmas

This is one of my favorite Christmas cards this year and my Grandmother would have loved it too since she loved birds. She even had several bird ornaments that she put on her Christmas tree every year, a cardinal being one of them.

When I was putting it together each layer ended up getting tweaked just a bit each time I made another one and here's the one I like the best.

On to the details...I started out with GP white for the base, added a kraft layer and then cut some DP from DCWV Christmas Combo stack (yes I bought another stack of paper, I'm seriously going to start wallpapering with it). I ran the dp through the cuttlebug using the SU folder petals a plenty. The other dp is also DCWV from the luxury stack and its really glossy and shimmery in person which I couldn't capture in the photo. I layered it with SU riding hood red and added the scalloped edge to the bottom.

Now silly me didn't write down my cricut cuts so I'm going to try to remember how I did it. The bird was cut from Winter Woodland at 2 1/2 I believe if not 2 1/2 then definitely 2 in. I used some riding hood red ink on the bird and sponged around the edges. The branch came from the same cart also cut at 2 in or 2 1/2. I really need to remember to write my cuts down if I'm going to post them....ugh! I added some snow to the branch with a white marker and then covered it with some diamond stickles.

The ornament is SU. I stamped it in Antique Linen with the polka dot ornament stamp and then took the Merry Christmas sentiment from SU's Holiday Best and stamped it in riding hood red over top. Then I punched out the ornament. This card seems like its a lot of work but really the cricut does most of the work for you. Oh and not to forget the snowflakes they are MS punch.

Hope you enjoyed this Christmas card. Just a 2 more weeks and we'll have our Christmas decs up. I can't believe it.

A Christmas Wish

So I tried my hand at minimal coloring of an image and I'm not sure I like how it turned out. Maybe I need to go back and color the sled red, that might help a bit. To be honest while I love this image from the SU set Home For Christmas, I never know what to do with it. Maybe its the layout? Any suggestions? I'm open and willing to try anything with this set.

So the base is some Kraft paper from Joanns that I ran through the cuttlebug using the SU folder petals a plenty. Then I used some scrap paper and layered the 3 scallop edges. I have to say not coloring the image made the card quick to do but at the same time its lacking that wow or Oh that's pretty factor.

I will say I have gone back and colored this image in. I just couldn't get past it being this plain.

Vintage Christmas

This new set from SU, Greeting Card Kids, just screams vintage to me so that's what I wanted to do with this winter image. I chose some non traditional Christmas papers, matter of fact they are from the DCWV stack Rustic. I ran the striped paper through the cuttlebug with the snowflake folder. The pic doesn't do the papers justice, they are full of shimmer and sparkle. I stamped the image with Staz On and colored her with SU markers. Added a little diamond stickles for a snowy effect.

The sentiment is also SU punched with the modern label punch and I added a mat to it by punching the modern label 2 more times and layering it. The little snowflakes are a MS punch. Thanks for looking today.

Hello Owl

Before I move on to posting some Christmas cards I thought I'd post a Just Because card. This card is extremely simple to do and was just as quick to put together. I love the new Owl punch from SU and the more you work with it the easier it is to glue those little eyes on.

So here's what I used...base just some GP white. All the dp on this card is from DCWV Hippie Chic mat stack, great funky papers in there. The orange layers are SU pumpkin. The owl was put together with some scraps out of my scrap box and the Hello is a clear stamp from TPC Studios.

Happy Harvest

How about one more fall card for the month. First I will show you the card I took my inspiration from for this creation. This CARD from strappystamper on SCS is just too cute for words and uses the new Verve set Bountiful Harvest which I love and see as a purchase in my future. Well since I didn't have the new verve set or the exact papers she used I improvised with materials I already own...which I seriously need to use up.

So I made the card base out of GP white, layered it with some SU choc chip and then came the mix of dps. All from DCWV... 2 from last years Fall mat stack and the brown stripe from 2yrs ago fall mat stack. I layered the pumpkin on the martha stewart lg lattice punch. The pumpkin image is from Inkadinkado halloween set, stamped in stazon and colored with SU pumpkin marker. The sentiment is a little studio G dollar stamp. I'm pleased with the way this came together and it rounds out my stash of fall cards for this year.

Ok this new uploading process for photos is a nightmare for me. Am I the only one having trouble with blogger's new upload process? UGH!!!

So on to this fall card. This is another card made with the French Foliage set from SU. The gorgeous dp is DCWV new fall stack Amber Autumn. Usually when I think of fall cards I think of the pumpkin colors, olive and browns so it's a little outside the box for me to do one in reds and browns but I just followed the colors of the paper.

The image is stamped with choc chip and Riding hood red from SU. The sentiment is from TPC stamped in choc chip and mounted on riding hood red and choc chip. This was a really quick and easy card to do. Off to make a couple more.

Here is another Fall card this one made with one of SU's new sets French Foliage. This is such a pretty set and I like that the stamps are solid, makes for a quick card without having to do any coloring.

So here's how this came together... the base of the card is SU choc chip. The kraft layer is paper from The Paper Company, got a pack of it at Joann's for $2.50, who can beat that price. Anyway I ran it through the cuttlebug using the sizzix embossing folder Finial Press. The orange dp is Basic Grey, yes can you believe its not DCWV!!! I know, shocker. Then came the image. I stamped the sentiment in the center with choc chip, then the leaves were done in more mustard, old olive, and cajun craze. The little paris stamp was done in riding hood red and then I stamped the dots in SU crumb cake. The senitment is a clear stamp from TPC and its punched out with SU modern label punch. Thankful for Sunflowers

How about a little break from Halloween and on to fall for a minute. I was totally inspired by this card HERE . Isn't it a beauty. I changed pretty much everything except the layout and flower.

Here's how I did my version. The base is choc chip SU. The pattern paper is DCWV Amber Autumn stack. I used some Kraft cardstock by the paper company. I didn't have the ric rac die so I improvised and layered 2 scallop punches from SU one in cajun craze and one in the kraft paper. The sunflower was cut from Stretch Your Imagination cart at 5 inches several times and layered. I sponged the sunflower with some SU more mustard ink. and popped a layer up with pop dots. The center is just a circle punch that I sponged with some Expresson ink. The sentiment is from SU's happy harmony set. I finished the sunflower off with a little embroidery thread. Hope you like it.

Here's another tag that can be yours. I love making little tags like this because you can do so much with them. Add them to a scrapbooking layout, use them as a bookmark, put them on a card front.

This tag was also done with the Oct 31st cricut cart. All except the moon which is a 1 3/8 circle cut out of embossed paper and sponged with more mustard. I cut the tombstone at 3 inches, sponged it with some black and stamped the RIP on there from an inkadinkadoo set. The cat was cut at 2 inches and I added a little black diamond stickles for the eyes. The crow was cut at 1 1/2. I did the background for this tag the same as the other one with the sponging of several inks.

Creepy Crawlies

While I don't particularly like spiders I'm not exactly afraid of them. How you like to put the pic of your little one on here from Halloween? Or do you have someone you know is terrified of spiders? This is a great layout for them. Well it can be yours if you're entered in the drawing Another Small Giveaway and you've become a follower of my blog.

This is a 6x6 scrapbook page and super simple to do. The base is black card stock cut down to 6x6. The green layer is dcwv midnight spell stack. I added some drippy goo border from MS punch and cut the spiders at 2 inches from the Oct 31st cricut cart. The spider web was cut at 3 inches. I embossed the photo panel with the web folder from cuttlebug so when you put your photo on here it will give you a bit of dimension. I left a title off so you can personalize it how you want it. I like 6x6 pages because you can add them to a mini album or build larger pages with them by mounting them on a 8x8 or 12x12. Hope you like it and hope you've entered and good luck!

I'm Not Scared (Cricut Halloween Tag)

You know I'm all about the halloween projects/cards so I thought I'd share the love. The images on this tag were done from the Oct 31st seasonal cricut cart. The tag base is just your everyday tag bought at an office supply store. I rubbed it with some different inks starting with antique linen, then rubbing the edges with SU Cajun craze and the middle with SU more mustard. I then took a cotton ball and dabbed some black soot ink to the edges. I cut the web out at 3 in, the spider at 2 inches and the pumpkin at 2 inches. I made my own layers for the pumpkin by cutting it out multiple times. I sandwiched a pieced of black cardstock between the layers. The little I'm not scared sentiment is from the DCWV midnight spell stack. I topped it off with some fibers I've had hanging around forever.
